Hickory Hollow

Home turf.

A commune of eight to twelve humans. Two to four dogs. Two cats. A few hundred tulip poplars. Ridgetops of hickory (glabra, tomentosa, a few ovata) and oak. The center of culture in the Ragged Mountains. Home of the Church of the Good Shepherd (est 1903? 1905?). Fallow for a decade, in process of rebirth.
